Type the year and select the month to display corresponding year for appropriate calendar system. If you are not sure of the month, the 5th month of the year is used as default.
This is a rough year converter between Bikram Sambat (BS), Gregorian (AD) and Nepal Sambat(NS) using simple difference between those. As you will see below, this is not an accurate date convertor but it works for basic year conversion for old dates and should solely be used for that purpose only.
The accurate BS to AD converter with oldest date support [from 1658 BS] is available at Ashesh's Nepali Date Converter. This Converter was prepared as there are no any converter for very old dates.
The Nepal Sambat Converter is based on the fact that, it started on 20-Oct-879 AD. The conversion is done by taking 879.79 AD as 0 for NS. Since NS is a lunar calendar with 354.36 days in normal years with leap month every 3 years (usually), the conversion will not be accurate for time period near Nepal sambat new year so use it at your own risk. You can however safely convert a year through this
