SHAPE FILES OF NEPAL DOWNLOAD

Provided below are either the shape files or the source for the shape files of various entities for Nepal. All the maps are in WGS84 UTM45 projection which means they will align with the aerial image in Google earth and default base-maps in QGISThe sources for most of them are Department of Survey. As administrative boundaries change, please use it at your own risk, I am not responsible for any errors that may be contained on the shape files.

OpenStreetMap Data

There are two ways to download the Openstreetmap data in shape file format

Selective Map Download

You can selectively download the data of specific area and attribute by using the HOT export tool

Whole Map Download

The OpenStreetMap data of whole Nepal can be downloaded here. This will download a zipped file of around 1GB which contains the shape files which corresponds to following OpenStreetMap data. This file is regularly updated and is maintained by http://download.geofabrik.de/
